Yes! I totally get it—most couples and families aren’t in front of a professional camera every day. I use a hands-off approach with gentle prompts when possible, but I’m also highly skilled at directing you so you look your best. Our sessions will be a mix of adventuring, frolicking in fields, and guided poses to ensure you love your images and have a fun experience. My own family isn’t naturally camera-ready either, so I’ve learned a lot from their feedback about how to make posing feel natural and enjoyable!

Yes! As an Alaska Native who was born and raised here, I know so many beautiful spots to capture both you and your loved ones, as well as the stunning scenery Alaska offers. When you book a session, I’ll provide access to my location guide to help us choose the perfect spot for your shoot. I also know which areas look best in different weather and where we can hide from harsh winds!

No, engagement sessions are included as a complimentary part of my wedding packages and are not discounted if unused. However, you’re welcome to use that hour in a way that best serves you—whether that’s adding extra wedding day coverage, scheduling a day-after (or week-after) session, or capturing family photos.

I thrive on adventures big and small and love exploring all across Alaska. Travel fees apply outside of Anchorage and Eagle River, but no distance is too far when it comes to capturing your story. I also have close connections in Kona, Hawaii and Grand Junction, Colorado, two spots I’m always thrilled to pack my bags for!
